Mother seeking VBA3C: "I've had no right to choose what I want"
A Maryland mom who desires a VBA3C (vaginal birth after three cesareans) made her local news last night. Hats off to Lori for standing up for her rights!

Good for this mom for standing up for her rights, but shame on Dr. Killeen for only giving the VBAC risks when multiple cesareans have risks too. Yes, the chance of uterine rupture is higher in a mom with previous cesarean than in a mom without a previous cesarean. However, with a 4th c-section, the risk of hysterectomy, blood transfusion, placenta accreta, and other serious complications are much higher than the risk of uterine rupture.

I enjoy reading all the stories and wish I am able to do the same. I am 27 weeks along in my pregnancy and due April 21, 2010. I have had 3 cesareans and want to have a VBA3C or at least try my heart out. I have no luck finding a doctor or midwife that would support this at all. I am located in Washington DC. I am willing to go in MD or VA to follow what my heat, body and soul is telling me what is best for my health and the well being of my unborn. Please someone hear my cry out for help, if you know anyone that would help me, PLEASE, PLEAS, PLEASE CALL @ (202) 501-8482 or EMAIL ME (ANYTIME DAY OR NIGHT)
