International Cesarean Awareness Network

Hello ICAN Community! My name is Sarah Shannon and I have the (humbling) honor of being the "official" blogger for ICAN. My goals are to: 1) provide information that will be useful to the ICAN community and, 2) increase traffic to the ICAN website by posting cesarean and VBAC-related content on the blog. On a personal note, I am a mother of two boys. My first was born by cesarean in 2003. My second was born this past Memorial Day by HBAC (home birth after cesarean). I am a board member for ICAN of the Twin Cities and owe a great debt of gratitude to the women of ICAN for my journey through recovery to VBAC and beyond!
