7. Comments:
This hospital only allows VBAC Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm. They induce patients at 7am and if they haven't had the baby by 5pm, they "have to do a cesarean." Therefore, they recommend that patients who really want to VBAC deliver at another hospital that is close. When I asked, "What if someone arrives at 2am in labor and they refuse a c/s?" she said, "We would either transfer them to the other hospital or do the c-section. We really recommend that they just go to the other hospital for a VBAC. When we've told people at 5pm that they're required to have a c-section, they get pretty upset with us. But their doctors do warn them that it could happen."

I have had 3 VBACs w/ Dr.

I have had 3 VBACs w/ Dr. Bossert (from the Nabity practice mentioned) at Bergan Mercy. He will not do VBACs at Immanuel because there are no Drs/anasth. there 24/7 and he does not want people foced into c/s.
