3. Do you know the name of a doctor who does do VBACs?:
Yes
Can I have a VBAC there if I have had more than one c-section?:
She didn't give me any names, but said all Dr's associated with the hospital performs VBAC's. It's a case by case basis.
6. What would happen if I arrived at the hospital and refused a cesarean?:
Nothing, can not be forced to have surgery
7. Comments:
The nurse did mention that there were risks involved in VBAC's but it depends on the reason for previous c-sections if they recommend another or not. The Dr's go on a case by case basis and if I refused a c-section, as long as I understand the risks they can't really force me into it. She did say 'understand the risks' which tells me that they would very much try to convince you to have a c-section if one was recommended, but I got the feel that they wouldn't force it on me. She also mentioned that there were women who have had multiple c-sections who had them scheduled, yet went into labor and delivered naturally before they could get them into the surgery room. Sounded like a hospital that wants the Drs and patients to work together.
