VBACs banned They send mothers to Billings, Local docs will do prenatal visits, and then send mothers up to Billings, 2 hours away.

Nurse indicated that they would ship the patient to Billings. I asked her about EMTALA, and she still said they would ship the patient. She seemed completely unaware of EMTALA’s stipulations. I asked her what would happen if I were in advanced labor: “They would probably take you back and do a section.” But what if I didn’t consent? She got flustered and said I would have to talk to a doctor.
