There are other doctors at this hospital who will take on VBAC patients, but the most vbac 'friendly' is Dr. Hedlund. He also takes on vba2c patients. They don't treat vbac moms much differently than a non-vbac mom. They only request that vbac moms have a saline loc but moms can refuse. No IV required. They do require vbac moms to sign a consent form. They do labs and a CBC (complete blood count) upon arriving in labor. They are comfortable with intermittent monitoring, though she said that for "anything borderline" they would want to do a c-section. They have done many vbacs, though not as many anymore "because most people just prefer c-section".
