VBAC ban

I had my daughter there and was not very happy with my experience. I was scared into a c-section for “failure to progress” after only 10 hours of labor. I was at 7.5cm. My baby was born at 5:30pm, going home time for the doctor. I asked him if I would be able to have a VBAC the next time and he said it depended on whether or not there were any lawyers around. I told him I would just birth at home then and we went back and forth a few times. He changed his tune when I went to see him in his office and said I could try it. I believe he is scalpel happy as my sister-in-law overheard him telling a nurse after I had been there maybe 3 hours that he would have to do a c-section on me. They were not very helpful afterwards either when I was trying to breastfeed. They kept pushing me to give her a bottle. Luckily I was successful at breastfeeding no thanks to them. I do not recommend going to this hospital to have a child or for any other reason. My father spent the last few weeks of his life there, dying of cancer. It wasn’t their fault in anyway, so please don’t think that. I know there was nothing they could do to save him. I just was not very impressed with the way they cared for me when I had my child or for my father when he was dying. Sorry this was so long but I felt the need to inform anyone who was considering having a baby at this hospital. Don’t do it.
